Gout Metabolomics Service
Gout-like diseases (disorders of purine metabolism, hyperuricemia, gouty arthritis and gouty nephropathy) are a group of metabolic diseases with increasing prevalence and recurrence year by year, mainly related to disorders of purine metabolism and/or imbalance of uric acid metabolism. Hyperuricemia develops when excessive purines are metabolized into uric acid or uric acid excretion is reduced due to factors such as genetic mutations or pathological damage. Further development of gout-related disease occurs when excess urate crystals are deposited in joint cavities, joint capsules, kidneys, etc.
The exact pathogenesis of gout is not yet fully understood. Finding precise biomarkers, exploring pathogenesis and tapping targets to develop new drugs are the focus of gout research.
Given that metabolic profiles are unique to each individual, fluctuations and differences in metabolite levels can indirectly reflect the state of the organism and the underlying mechanisms of the disease. Creative Proteomics provides gout metabolomics solutions to help identify precise bio-diagnostic markers, explore pathogenesis, and develop new drugs on target.
