Tears not only moisten the eyeballs and produce immunity and defense, but also contain a lot of molecular information related to human physiology and pathology. The ingestion of therapeutic drugs and drugs of abuse can also be excreted through lacrimal secretion. In addition, because the eyes are directly exposed to the air, volatiles, aerosols and soluble particles in the air may also enter the eyes and be transferred to the tears. Due to the small secretion volume, complex composition, high salinity, and low metabolite concentration of tear fluid, the collection and analysis of trace tear fluid is extremely challenging.

Quick-freeze in liquid nitrogen and store at -80°C, and send it on dry ice.
