Fruit trees contain more than 200,000 small molecule metabolites. They are involved in cellular morphogenesis, intercellular signaling, cellular defense, and physiological responses such as fruit tree stress, and the levels of some of these metabolites also affect metabolic fluxes, gene expression, and protein stability. Fruit tree metabolomics is the quantitative or qualitative analysis of all small molecule metabolites in a specific organ, tissue or cell of a fruit tree. Creative Proteomics uses a high-throughput metabolomics technology platform to systematically and comprehensively study all small molecules in fruit trees (or a particular tissue or organ) and their relationships over time, and also to analyze specific metabolic pathways and a class of metabolites.
