Metabolomics in Biomedical Research

The analysis of metabolite composition (metabolome) and its change patterns is an important way to understand the molecular nature of life activity. The central task of metabolome analysis includes detecting, quantifying and mapping the dynamic patterns of changes in the biological metabolome, linking this pattern of change to the processes of biochemical reactions that occur.

Creative Proteomics has established a metabolomics research platform for biomedical research by combining NMR and chromatography-mass spectrometry techniques. We have developed and applied metabolomic analysis methods to study the metabolic basis of the development of important diseases and interventional regression.

The analysis of metabolomics data allows qualitative and quantitative analysis of small molecule metabolites in organisms and identification of the relative relationship between changes in metabolites and physiological and biochemical changes in organisms. Information on the pathogenesis of diseases, drug metabolism and pharmacological toxicity can be obtained by mining the information on the changes of metabolites in organisms during disease development and the metabolic changes in organisms caused by drug action.
