The flavones refer to a series of compounds formed by the interconnection of two benzene rings with three carbon atoms. Flavones are found in almost all green plants. They are mainly distributed in higher plants and have a wide range of biological activities. For example, baicalein has the effect of reducing cerebrovascular resistance, improving cerebral blood circulation, increasing cerebral blood flow and anti-platelet agglutination. Baicalin has the effects of anti-tumor, anti-pathogen and anti-allergic reaction.

1. Fresh plant tissues from leaf, flower, stem, root, seed, or fruit: >1 g. Provide young plant tissues for the best results. Samples should be frozen in liquid nitrogen immediately after collection, and then transferred to -80°C for storage.
