Resveratrol Analysis Service
Online InquiryResveratrol is a non-flavonoid polyphenolic organic compound, which is an antitoxin produced by many plants when they are stimulated. Resveratrol has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer and cardiovascular protective effects. It can be synthesized in grape leaves and skins and is a biologically active ingredient in wine and grape juice. Resveratrol is a colorless needle crystal, and solubles in ether, chloroform, methanol, ethanol and acetone and other organic solvents. It can fluoresce under 366mm ultraviolet light, and can react with ferric trichloride -potassium ferricyanide. The maximum absorption wavelength of trans-resveratrol is 308nm, and that of cis-resveratrol is 288mm. When the buffer solution pH is low (pH1 to 7), trans-resveratrol remaines stable for several months in light protection, while cis-resveratrol remaines stable only in light protection and near neutral buffer solution. Because resveratrol has a wide range of uses, it is very important to establish the method for the analysis of resveratrol in plant metabolites.
High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is a simple, rapid, accurate and highly reproducible method to solve the problems associated with resveratrol analysis. Improved extraction and purification steps can also improve the sensitivity of the analytical method. creative Proteomics offers HPLC and LC-MS platforms to enable resveratrol qualitative and quantitative analysis services.
