Chlorophyll b is a kind of chlorophyll, which absorbs and transmits light energy as one of the antenna pigments of photosynthesis.

Chlorophyll b exists in higher plants, green algae, Euglena and tube algae.

Chlorophyll b has one more carbonyl group than chlorophyll a, so it is more soluble in polar solvents.

The color of chlorophyll b is yellow-green, mainly absorbing blue-violet light.

The maximum absorption wavelength of chlorophyll b is 460-645nm, the emission wavelength is 469nm, and the excitation wavelength is 670nm.

Sample requirements

Algae samples need to prepare 30-40mg freeze-dried powder or 300mg fresh samples.

Plant tissues need to be mixed from more than 3 plants as a sample.

Plant samples need to be freeze-dried, please try to provide more than 3g (fresh weight).

The samples should be stored at -80°, transported on dry ice, and cannot be frozen and thawed repeatedly.

Biological replicates required
